Rainy Rainy Days!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really love my Motivators umbrella. It's hot pink, which is just such a fun funky color and it's got a huge arc. Spring Fever!

Well, there's going to be a temperature drop this week, but it's been obvious by the past few days weather that spring has definitely sprung! I was driving to work this morning with the windows down and the sunroof open. The only problem is that it was so bright out this morning; I was practically blinded by the sun! Keep It Fresh!

Whenever I have a party or a get together, I am notorious for over buying things. After my get together last weekend, I still have over 175 red solo cups. I didn't have that many people over, but I had to go to Costco and buy 200 cups. Apparently I thought they would be drinking quite a bit of soda.

I did however try to be good with chips, because I know that most people over buy those. And I was right on the money with a party size bag of chips and a party size bag of Doritos. Unfortunately, my best friend stopped by with 2 huge bags of chips herself. So my plan went out the window and now I'm stuck with leftover chips. But they've been opened and they're still fresh because I stocked up on these House Keep It Clips. So now my chips are fresh for my next get together. I doubt they'll last as long as the cups though.

Last Friday, our local radio station premiered the new Kelly Clarkson song, just after I pulled into the parking lot here at work. Knowing I couldn't sit in my car and listen to it, I went into work with a pout on my face. At lunch, I happened to hear the tail end of it and this proceeded for the next two days. Finally, I heard the whole thing and loved it. So when I got home I googled it, trying to find out if it had been launched on myspace or anywhere. It's hard not to appreciate teachers for all they do. They teach our children, tutor them, and nurture them. And everyone always has a special teacher that will always stand out from the rest. After this weekend’s huge nor'easter that the east coast got slammed with, I'd say I'm ready for the summer to be here already! I was especially ready on Sunday morning when I left my house to go move my car and realized that I left my sunroof open a smidge. I am seriously addicted to flagging things. I finished off another dispenser of Post It Flags yesterday, and I was borderline inconsolable. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I was upset. I enjoyed my green flags. But we recently got in a bunch of Post It Flag Highlighters imprinted with the Motivators logo, so I snagged one for myself. And it's awesome. I just twist it and there's a flag. Where was this thing when i was in college?! Using it in my everyday work is great, but if I had a textbook to flag, I would be in heaven!

Quack Quack!

The beginning of spring to me means ducks. Why it means ducks, I really couldn't tell you. But probably cause baby ducks are around at Easter and they're just adorable. But one of my favorite events in early Spring is the Duck Race that we have at a local water park. In the Spring it's the ducks, and in the fall it's the turtles. What happens is this...everyone buys a duck for a dollar. It's a rubber ducky with a number on it. Then all the rubber duckies are let loose in the lazy river and they float towards the end. The owner of the first duck wins an iPod, or some equally desirable prize. And all the money raised from the duck race is donated to charity. It's a great way to raise money and it's a great reason to use ducks!

April Showers!!

Just as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers...yesterday was gross and rainy. I happened to be out without an umbrella, so that definitely put a damper on my day. But it brought to mind a good point: no matter what month it is, anyone can use an umbrella! I actually received a Motivators umbrella a few months ago, but of course forgot it in the trunk of my car! So in that respect, umbrellas are great promotional items!
