Promotional products aren’t just for companies and organizations. They are for the common folk like you and me, too! Promotional products can help us treasure our memories. I will forever associate certain items with special times in my life. You pick up a branded item from a gift shop every time you travel, why not make your own customized products for important occasions in your life?
Here are some ways I have used promotional products to build memories:
Coming from a huge family with relatives living near and far, we have promised to take a vacation together every three years. The planning starts almost a year in advance, so it feels like we’re always getting closer to another trip. We have done everything from cruises to all-inclusive resorts and have the swag to prove it!
For our trip to Punta Cana, we made stadium cups and water misters. Then, for our cruise this past July, we went with sunglasses and tumblers. It is always fun to think of our next family slogan, and no matter what promotional item we choose, my family members always let me know they have saved it to remember our good times together. Aw!
While it is common to give out wedding favors, there are tons of special events leading up to the big day that call for promotional products. Customized items are perfect for bachelorette & bachelor parties, bridal showers and even save the dates.
With my wedding right around the corner, I can say firsthand that promotional products have helped to enhance all of these events for my friends and family, and I have had a blast making them!
- For my bachelorette party, all of my girlfriends flew down to Miami for a long weekend. Of course, we had shirts made with our favorite quote from “Mean Girls” as well as beach totes. You might not think of Motivators for smaller orders, but you should! Most apparel allows you to order as few as 12 items, and we can always help with low minimums in other product categories as well – just ask!
- I cannot wait for my bridal shower, which is coming up this weekend! I don’t want to give away all the juicy details, but I can say that the favors are awesome! While my shower doesn’t necessarily have a theme, I am having a destination wedding, so the bridal shower favors will be a reflection of that. I will share photos soon!
- Destination weddings open up a whole new world of options for wedding favors, because you want to greet your guests with a welcome bag. Fill it with necessities they may have forgotten along with some funky items that are related to your destination. If you are having a beach wedding, for example, think sunscreen, sunglasses, or maybe even a hat! I had so much fun putting together my welcome bags, and I would be more than happy to help with yours!
Whether you are celebrating the big 2-1 or the even bigger 6-0, a birthday is a birthday! This year for my dad’s 60th, we went to Vegas to celebrate! My parents flew in from New York, my sister from Los Angeles and Eric and I from Miami. I felt it was only natural to create a super soft t-shirt with my dad’s face on it, right? RIGHT! If you know my dad, you know he thinks he is the most interesting man in the world, or at least a close second. With that being said, how could we not play on the famous Dos Equis campaign? How did we do?
I am always explaining to my family and friends the importance of promotional products! That’s why my dad doesn’t hesitate when I offer him different ideas to promote his optical store in Great Neck, New York. We have done pens, mints, ice scrappers and hand sanitizer. He’s always bragging about how much his patients love them and look forward to what he will do next!
When my little sister was graduating from college in 2012, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I flew out to Los Angeles with some branded stress relievers to surprise her! We ended up using them to decorate the tables at her graduation brunch, and they were the talk of the event. It was a small take-away, but I know it will always bring back big memories.
Unfortunately (and fortunately), my fiance Eric graduated from law school that same weekend. Faced with a really tough decision, I had to miss it, but not without leaving my mark of promotional products. I am sure you would never think of stress relievers as table decor, but think again. They are colorful, funny, and allow you to be really creative. We made gavel stress relievers with a saying that reflects Eric’s personality perfectly. Check it out!
These are just a few examples of how I’ve used promotional products in my personal life. Giving out customized items is a fun way to commemorate significant events and really make a statement. Whether you are hosting a party, going on a family vacation, or want to take an inside joke to the next level, contact me or any of Motivators’ promotional consultants. We are here for you!
