Sponsoring an Event: How Motivators Contributed to a CSF Fundraiser
|There are lots of reasons a company might consider sponsoring an event. It can increase brand awareness, enhance a company’s image and build new business relationships. But the best sponsorships come from a desire to help. A hunger for making a difference.
That’s how Motivators got involved in Connecticut Sports Foundation’s (CSF) 27th Annual Celebrity Dinner & Memorabilia Auction. The event took place on Friday, Feb. 7 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. When Rachel Levin, Motivators’ marketing and sales director, found out about all that CSF does, she knew at once we had to get involved.
In addition to funding cancer research, CSF financially assists cancer patients and their families. The non-profit organization compassionately offers monetary aid to cancer patients for everything from mortgage payments to medication costs.
In order to do so, CSF raises money by hosting an Annual Celebrity Dinner & Memorabilia Auction. The event is supported by big names in Major League Baseball including John Ellis, former catcher for the New York Yankees and founder of CSF.
Rachel is not only an avid baseball fan, but is also a champion for cancer research and prevention. “Giving back to the community is important to everyone at Motivators,” she said. “What better way than to help cancer patients in their time of need?”
Motivators donated 700 promotional coolers for the 27th Annual Celebrity Dinner & Memorabilia Auction, making the promotional products distributor a “Grand Slam Sponsor.” Each giveaway was imprinted with CSF’s logo, which will help deliver its message for a long time. Bags make great promotional giveaways because they generate more impressions than any other promotional item, according to a recent study by the Advertising Specialty Institute.
Additionally, several Motivators employees attended the event to show their support in person.
We are thrilled to have been able to contribute to such an amazing cause! To learn more about CSF, visit www.SportsFoundation.org.
