Fall is my time of year, and I think a lot of people agree. Summer is great, but it can get HOT, and hot days after hot days can make it feel pretty long. Fall is my favorite; it is sweater weather with a little chill to the air but the sun still shining.
My kids and I are having a great time so far this fall. I geared up in my Motivators promotional hoodie, and we headed out to do some apple picking and a hayride at the farm. We always keep our favorite branded beanie in the backpack in case the wind picks up or we get caught having fun when the sun comes down.
My daughter, Macy, had a chance to participate in a pumpkin-carving event put on by the local art studio, and each kid got a branded apron to keep things clean. Carving pumpkins is my favorite activity because no two are the same, and they can be as funny or as ghoulish as you want them to be.
My wife and I are excited for this upcoming weekend; we are doing a local 5k cider mash. It is a 5k trail run through a local orchard. Instead of a complimentary tee or award for finishing they give out branded travel tumblers to enjoy the warm apple cider at the end.
At the end of October, my wife and I and some friends have a wine tasting event in Maine. It is a BYOP (bring your own picnic) event. Last year for a holiday gift my wife’s company gave everyone a branded picnic basket cooler, which will be perfect for a charcuterie and cheese assortment. Sipping wine outside and the spectacular fall foliage… cant think of anything better!
Get out there and enjoy the fall weather before the winter snow and cold keep you in. Hopefully now you have some ideas for fun fall activities to do with your kids this year.
