I would like to talk about something I’ve been noticing more and more. Perhaps it’s because of the industry I’m in or maybe it’s because my baseball team just needs new and creative ways to get fans to the ballpark (try being a Mets fan!). It could just be because people like free stuff! Whatever the reason, it seems like promotional giveaway days are becoming more and more prevalent this baseball season.
Now I know there’s always been glove day or hat day, but the last few years have had companies sponsor promotional items that are so well advertised, it’s become a major reason for people to come to the stadium. The New York Mets have free shirt Fridays and I know many people who will choose that day on the schedule over others, to get the free T-shirt, which is sponsored by a company with their huge logo on the back. I have a bunch of stats on this study, but the two that really stood out to me are:
- 48% of people own a promotional t-shirt. (That means about half of the people you know, own a shirt from a company years after the giveaway!)
- 57% of people feel more favorable about the company that gave them a promotional t-shirt.
More than half of people that receive a $5 T-shirt feel better about your company without ever doing business with you. If that isn’t a powerful promo item, I don’t know what is!
So when you need your next promo item or baseball giveaways, be sure to think about some of these amazing custom promotional T-shirts available on our site! If Major League baseball thinks it’s a good idea, I would tend to agree!
